West Ruimveldt man charged for wounding duo

Fifty-eight-year-old Mark Khan of West Ruimveldt Georgetown, who allegedly attacked and wounded Deane Shawn and Faruk Mohammed on July 3, 2018 at West Ruimveldt, appeared on Monday before Georgetown Magistrate Judy Latchman to answer charges of wounding.
It is alleged that the defendant, known to the two virtual complainants, showed up at a place where they were staying and demanded that they open a door. When Mohammed opened the door, Khan dealt him several cuffs; and as Shawn went to Mohammed’s assistance, she also was dealt several cuffs to her face.
The two were treated for injuries received, and Khan was later arrested and charged.
Khan denied the charges read to him, and was placed on bail in the sum of $160,000.
His next court date is August 13.
