West Side champs battle in Wolf’s Challenge Cup tomorrow

The nationwide Wolf’s Challenge Cup Softball cricket tournament is set to continue this weekend after a break for the Independence Cup in New York and Hero Caribbean Premier League Matches in Guyana with a matchup between ‘West-side’ powerhouses set to take centre stage.

Former national open champions, Wolf Warriors of the West Coast of Demerara will battle their longstanding nemesis Speed Boat of the West Bank of Demerara in the opening match at Tuschen Ground tomorrow at 10:00h. both teams have been neck to neck in battles over the years with Wolf Warriors having the edge but the consistent Speed Boat can deliver the knockout blow at any time and should not be taken lightly.

The Wolf Warrior’s hopes for another victory rest on the shoulders of their veteran captain Amreit “Rocky” Rai and the Karim brothers; Sarfraz and Riaz while the Speed Boat will be looking to Travis Drakes and Wazir Karim to lead them to victory.

The second match of the day brings together Superior Woods and Parika Defenders from 13:00h also at the Tuschen ground.

Over at the Malteenoes ground in Thomas Lands Georgetown there are four matches scheduled for tomorrow in the Masters category.

On Pitch one at 10:00h Floodlights take on Wolf Warriors Masters while on pitch two also at 10:00h, Regal Masters will be challenged by Fisherman Masters.

Later on in the day, on pitch one; Wellman battle with Enterprise Legends from 13:00h while on pitch two LOL Woodworking will battle Untouchables.
