margin in another match. In what was a one sided affair, Andrew Murray opened the scoring for Western Tigers in the 23rd minute. The Western players had the lion’s share of possession and kept creating chances but their forwards were guilty of not converting.Murray got his second goal the 63rd minute while Captain Phillip Rowley  got in on the act in the 65th minute with a cheeky chip over the  Camptown custodian to seal the deal for the Tigers. Speaking to the media after the match, Rowley pointed out that the reason for his side’s slightly sluggish performance was due to the fact most of the Western players had participated in a futsal final on Saturday night. He was however thankful that his side aims to maintain its winning ways. The Georgetown Football Club also dominated their encounter with the Police FC to win 3-0 through goals from Benjamin Opara in the 13th minute and a brace from Dwayne Reibeiro in the 23rd and 74th minutes. Earlier in game one of the night Riddim Squad came from behind to edge Eastveldt 2-1 courtesy of two second half strikes from Dorville Stewart. In what seemed to be an even contest that was dominated by a midfield battle, Eastveldt took an early lead through a Michael Charles goal in the 26th minute. They would hold on to that lead for the remainder of the first half and up to the 61st minute of the game when Stewart produced two brilliant goals (61st and 64th minutes) in the space of 3 minutes to hand his side a 2-1 lead and eventually the victory. The tournament will continue this weekend at the same venue and the fixtures will be revealed in a subsequent report.
