Dear Editor,
So now, at last, Parliament has been “dissolved”, what has happened to the hollow calls, by the likes of Moses Nagamootoo, Lincoln Lewis, David Hinds and others of that ilk, for the People’s Progressive Party (PPP) to consent to go back to Parliament, after the successful No-Confidence Motion, so that, among other things, the date for elections can be extended?
I am left to wonder if those calls were not an admission that the NCM was successful and the requirements of the Constitution required a two-thirds vote to extend the date for elections. Oh well, at least it appears that we will have elections in March 2020, even though I’m still keeping my fingers crossed.
With regards,
