Pres Trump announced the US brokered a ceasefire between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan, and your Eyewitness breathed a sigh of relief. Hey…if those nuclear bombs are “bursting through the night”, the fallout’s gonna reach our dear Mudland in more ways than one!! But that reminds your Eyewitness that we need somebody to broker a ceasefire between the Government/Police Force and the Adrianna Younge family on what’s to be done to get to the bottom (no pun intended) of how the child died.
Now, your Eyewitness is as sceptical about the GPF as anyone who’s had ANY sort of interaction with ANY member of that institution. No, Siree Bob!! The GPF don’t be instilling confidence in nobody!! But we gotta go forward, don’t we?? But your Eyewitness notes that at every stage of the Government going along with their recommendations, the family floats new objections.
We can start with the pathologist in the first step to determine CAUSE of death. The Govt said they weren’t gonna use the local chap, but one from Barbados who has a ton of foreign experience. No can do, said the family. They picked one from the state of Delaware, USA, and for good measure, the Government brought in a third from Mt Sinai…all eminently qualified. The authorities allowed the relatives and a number of their representatives – including their local doctor, to witness. But after the autopsy, the family rejected the results, and now want a fourth pathologist – this time from Trinidad.
In law, there’s an old lawyer tactic called “forum shopping” – doing their darndest to appear before judges whom they feel gonna rule in their favour. Here,looks like the family is “pathologist shopping”!! There was talk about bringing in the Trini fella, but that seems to’ve been dropped – even as the funeral, scheduled for last Monday, was cancelled. The poor child’s body’s still lying in some funeral home’s cold-storage drawer.
In addition, water from the pool and from the child’s lungs – along with other fluids and DNA swabs – were sent to FOREIGN labs for histological analysis – for further clues. Based on what has transpired, your Eyewitness is betting dollars to doughnuts that if these show the child drowned in the pool, the family’s gonna reject it!!
Now, after the postmortem, police trained in investigating murders would use those findings plus any other evidence – including from interviewing folks who may have pertinent info – to determine whether she was murdered; and if so, by whom.
Now, the family demanded – as did your Eyewitness – a foreign investigation team. The Govt brought in an experienced retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to work with local investigators. The family has rejected the fella!!

GECOM just announced that the UK and UNDP in Guyana are supporting them to “enhance institutional capacity and strengthen electoral processes ahead of the 2025 General and Regional Elections in Guyana.”
They’re gonna be expending some $208 MILLION!! The question, of course, is whether the Opposition’s gonna take confidence in these measures and quit demanding “biometrics” and a new Voters List that’s cleansed of foreign Guyanese dead. They know this ain’t gonna happen, so your Eyewitness confidently predicts that, right after the elections, they’ll insist they were rigged – and launch massive protests, ending in violence and looting!!

The Scrapeheads’ modus operandi is identical to that of the rioters and looters in Georgetown, who appeared from Black Friday Feb 15, 1962 to the 2000s.
