Wife places husband before the court

A wife placed her husband before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts for unlawfully assaulting her.
Henry King, 39, who is a bus driver of Mabaruma, Region One (Barima-Waini) appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer to the unlawful assault charge.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on October 23, 2016, at Mabaruma, North West District, he unlawfully assaulted Verna King. Henry was not represented by an Attorney.
The prosecution had no objections to bail but asked the Magistrate to add a condition or place the defendant on a bond to keep the peace.
His wife was advised to acquire a protection order against her husband.
The defendant was placed on ,000 bail and ordered to return to court on November 14.
