Team Foundation and Guyana National Road Race Champion rider Gerron Williams finished second as he was edged by fellow Foundation teammate, Norlandy Sanchez of the Dominican Republic in the 60-Lap Race around Market Square-Wilson Road during the fourth and final stage on Saturday of the 2016 Tobago International Cycling Classic.
However, CPSL’s Arno Van Der Zwet of the Netherlands won the Overall Division One title of the Classic when he placed third, behind Williams in the 60-lap race.
Guyana and PSL cyclist Romello Crawford finished second in the Division Two 20-lap race ahead of Barbados’ Tremayne Forde-Catwell. Crawford was piped by overall Division Two winner, Southclaine’s Jabari Whiteman of Trinidad and Tobago.
Jamaican Marlo Rodman sprinted away with the Plymouth Village Criterium of the 2016 Tobago International Cycle Classic in Plymouth on Friday. Rodman completed the 60-laps (78km) circuit ahead of his PSL teammate Nick Stopler of Netherlands and Geron Williams (Guyana/Team Foundation).
