The highly anticipated knock-out stages for the sixth annual Milo Schools Football Tournament have arrived with some interesting ties which hints at high octane action from today at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Group A runners-up Annandale Secondary will meet Uitivulgt Secondary in the first match of the day from 13:00h followed by Friendship Secondary and Sir Leon’s Lesson from 14:30h and the final match of the day being Masters Academy against The Bishops’ High School from 16:30h.
Sunday’s play which also commences from 13:00h pits Buxton Youth Developers against Vergenogen Secondary then Christianburg Secondary meeting Pure Masters followed by Morgan’s Learning Centre tackling St Roses High.
On Monday, former champions Lodge Secondary play The Business School from 17:00h where after three-time defending champions Chase Academic Foundation clash with Ann’s Grove Secondary.
The quarter-finals will be held March in 17 and 18 while the semi-finals are on March 25 and the grand final on March 28. All matches are at the Ministry of Education ground
Played under the theme “there is no excuse for violence” due to the tournaments partnership with the Ministry of Public Health, the under-18 boys will be hoping to secure the first place prize of $500,000 which goes towards a school project. Second to fourth placed school teams, will receive $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 respectively which will also go towards school projects.
