– Berbice, Demerara pushed to Sunday at Lusignan

After an exciting opening round of the 2018 Guyana Cricket Board/Hand-in-Hand Inter-county U-19 three-day, defending champs Demerara will tackle Berbice in a big match while Essequibo play the U17 Select in round two which bowls off today.
Originally scheduled for the Bourda Ground, Demerara who are fresh off an innings an 56-run win over the U17 XI, will tackle Berbice in a mouth-watering match which is now set for the Lusignan Community Centre Ground from Sunday .
Both teams played well in the opener with Demerara riding on the record 301 not out made by skipper Bhaskar Yadram. Opener Adrian Hinds missed a century by six runs but will have set on making amends.

All eyes will on Bhaskar Yadram to see if he can replicate another masterful innings

Windies youth spinner Ashmead Nedd who ended with 8 wickets from game one, could again play a crucial role as he did with fellow spinner Dwain Dick who bagged 6-110 to help brush the U17 side.
Berbice will rely on centurion Alex Algoo, Kevlon Anderson and others who showed good signs from the opener which they won by 9 wickets in just two days, brushing aside Essequibo with ease.
Match two which bowls off on Saturday April 14, will see the gutsy U17 guys tackling Essequibo at Everest as both sides look to rebound from heavy first round losses.
While the U17 XI managed to hold their nerves chasing nearly 500 runs, Essequibo were routed cheaply in both their innings as Berbice whipped them in just two days. Round two’s action will bowl off from 9:00h.
