2018 GCB Female Franchise Under-17 Secondary Schools T20 League, round 2
Essequibo and East Bank emerged winners in the second round of the GCB Female Franchise Under-17 T20 League.

In the thrilling encounter at Enterprise Ground, East Coast won the toss and chose to bat first, posting 93 for 8 in their 20 overs, with national Under-19 player Sarah Amin top-scoring with 18. Bowling for Essequibo, Onicia Staby picked up 2 for 22 while Analeisa D’Agular, Lisa Charles, and Lavina Ragbeer took one wicket apiece.
In reply, Essequibo blazed to their total, scoring 94 for 5 from 10.4 overs, with Lisa Clerks top-scoring with 20. She was supported by Ragbeer, who scored 15 not out. Bowling for East Coast, Tilleya Madramootoo grabbed 2 for 24 while Shazan Majeed and Vinita Ballkishun took one wicket each. Essequibo won the match by five wickets.
Meanwhile, at Albion Ground, East Bank won the toss and decided to bat first. They made a brilliant 98 for 1 in a match reduced to 10 overs. Africa Gentle top-scored with a scintillating 55 not out which included nine timely fours. Sheriban Nelson was the only bowler to claim a wicket, with figures of 1 for 6 for the Upper Corentyne team.
