Woman chops miner for slapping her

A miner was on Wednesday evening chopped about his body by a female after he had reportedly slapped her during an argument at Logg Hill, Baramita, North West District (NWD), Region One (Barima/Waini).
The injured miner is 24-year-old Deon Henry of Logg Hill, Baramita, NWD.
Based on information received, Henry and the woman were reportedly imbibing when an argument broke out. The argument soon turned physical, and Henry dealt the woman several slaps to her face.
In retaliation, the woman left the drinking spot, but returned with a cutlass, approached Henry, and dealt him several chops about his body.
Drenched in blood, the injured man jumped on his motorcycle and went home, where he told his family what had transpired. He was taken to the Baramita Health Centre, where he was treated and later sent away.
The suspect has been arrested, and is assisting detectives with their investigations.
