A woman was on Wednesday killed in an accident at Baramita, Region One (Barima-Waini).
The dead woman has been identified as Wanita Sobers of Baramita. She was a passenger in a minibus which was involved in a fatal crash.

When contacted, Commander Khalid Mandall confirmed that a woman died in the accident, but could not give any other details since ranks were on scene gathering information.
Based on reports, the minibus was the only vehicle involved in the accident.
Initial reports reaching Guyana Times indicate that the driver of the vehicle has been hospitalised.
