A 52-year-old bond clerk of Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD), was robbed by bandits on several motorcycles while walking along Red Road, Providence, on EBD on Friday evening at approximately 20:05h.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim was walking toward her home when she was approached by three motorcycles carrying six males, when one of the pillion riders reportedly snatched her bag containing a cell phone and a sum of local currency, after which they escaped.
No arrests were made. CCTV footage is being reviewed as investigations continue.
