Women injured in motorcycle accident at Moruca

Two women are now injured after the motorcycle on which they were travelling landed in a pothole along the Huradiah Public Road, Moruca, North West District (NWD).
The injured women are the rider, 34-year-old Anasha Peter and pillion rider 28-year-old Adona Ganesh, both of Moruca.
Based on reports received, on the day in question, the motorcycle bearing registration number CK 4511 was proceeding along the roadway when it hit a pothole causing the rider to lose control. The motorcycle reportedly fell onto the roadway and the two women sustained injuries about their bodies.
They were picked up and taken to the Kumaka District Hospital, where they were treated before later being flown to Georgetown for further medical attention.
An investigation has been launched into the accident.
