West Indies teams swept all International Cricket Council’s (ICC) events in 2016 when the Under-19 team won the Youth World Cup in Bangladesh followed by the women and men who took the respective World T20 titles in India which brought back pride to many die hard fans. One year later, the region is still basking in the success of their teams‘heroics in the Indian Sub-continent and the West Indies Cricket Board is giving fans the opportunity to relive the crowning moments.
During the three-match One Day International Series at Providence between West Indies and Pakistan, fans will be able to take pictures with the unique pieces of silverware.
Upon entry to the compound of the Guyana National Stadium through the northern turnstile, the three beautiful glittering treasured pieces will immediately catch your eyes at the photo booth outside of the North-West (Red) stand.
Individuals or groups may take photographs with one, two or all three trophies which are printed instantly and uploaded to windies cricket facebook page.
The cost is G$1,000 which goes towards the West Indies Retired Player Foundation.
During the opening ODI at Providence on Friday, many spectators had their photos taken and it is expected that today’s game, which may attract a close to sold out crowd, will attract a higher number of fans who will relive the historic moments by posing with the trophies for a worthy cause.
