For the first time in Guyana, globally acclaimed Indian devotional, bhajan and ghazal singer Raviraj Nasery is set to perform on local soil, marking a historic moment as he joins devotees and music lovers for a special musical gathering hosted by the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation of Guyana. Expressing gratitude ahead of the event, Nasery said he feels “truly blessed” to have been invited to perform at “Daylight of Music”, scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 10:00h at the Prema Nilayam Centre in Queenstown.
Known for his soulful voice and emotive compositions, Nasery has spent over two decades performing and producing devotional music worldwide. Originally from Madhya Pradesh, India, he started his musical journey at the age of 13 and is a dedicated devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He has performed more than 200 times in the presence of Sai Baba and has recorded thousands of bhajans while collaborating with prominent spiritual music channels, including T-Series, Lokdhun Spiritual, and Wave Music.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a voice-over artist for Discovery Channel and contributed as a choir singer in Bollywood films such as Raees and Airlift. His spiritual music has amassed billions of cumulative views across digital platforms, and he has toured extensively across the United States of America (USA), Canada, the United Kingdom (UK), Mauritius, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Tanzania, Nepal and several other countries. Nasery’s soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics, and original devotional compositions create deep spiritual connections with listeners.
He belongs to a rare league of artists who sing from pure love and inner creativity, transforming every performance into a moving experience. His rich and emotive renditions continue to inspire devotion, peace and reflection, leaving audiences immersed in divine emotion. Speaking with Guyana Times, Nasery described finally reaching Guyana as both a dream fulfilled and a divinely timed opportunity.
“Personally, I feel that time has to come for everything. With immense joy and gratitude, I am excited to announce my first-ever visit to the beautiful land of Guyana. To be honest with you, I was so emotionally touched because Guyana and all Caribbean countries are very close to my heart. They love my music, and I was trying to come to Guyana for almost 30 years. I met many people and sent many emails. At that time, WhatsApp was not there, so through email and telephone we used to communicate [but I never reached Guyana],” he said. Nasery said his music goes beyond self-praise and accolades, noting that he does not enjoy the attention his singing attracts.
“I don’t like people to admire my singing. I am happy if they talk about Swami because this music has come to me through Bhagawan only. I was hardly 12 and a half or 13 years old. People should know how I became a Sai devotee. A lot of people are interested to know. I am from Echanwada in Madhya Pradesh, central India, very close to Nagpur, about a two-and-a-half-hour journey by car.”
In Indian culture, a Swami is an honorific title given to a Hindu monk, ascetic, or spiritual teacher who has renounced worldly life (sannyasa) to pursue enlightenment. Literally meaning “master of oneself”, a Swami is dedicated to spiritual mastery, selfless service and guiding others on the path to self-realisation. During the interview, it was also revealed that Nasery wrote a song about Guyana, with the singer describing the creative process behind his music as something that appears naturally and effortlessly. He explained that both the writing and composing processes themselves are an experience, saying that “it just happens”, echoing his belief that the music simply flows through him.
Audiences were told they may receive a surprise performance of the song during his visit. Nasery has shared the stage with acclaimed bhajan and ghazal singer Anup Jalota, as well as Shankar Mahadevan, Shobha Paswan, and several other renowned performers. Recently, he performed at the Sri Sathya Sai Baba Organisation event in Queenstown on Sunday, June 7, where he inspired and mesmerised hundreds of devotees.
Listeners can explore his wide catalogue of devotional singles and albums on Apple Music and Spotify or watch live performances through his devotional YouTube channel.
