Dear Editor,
Of course, people have a right to express their hurt, anger and anguish. That is non-negotiable. But to do so in the name of protests where peoples’ rights are being trampled upon, roadways blocked making ingress and egress impossible; robberies; extortion, vehicles damaged and other illegal activities being seized in the name of protest as a people and community mourn is not protesting but using a sad, grievous situation for outcomes unrelated to this core issue.
That is reprehensible. Would the cousins want this?
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
