YBG commences Tertiary/University Basketball League

Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) recently tipped off the inaugural Tertiary Basketball League with games being played at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Sundays.
The Tertiary/University Basketball League is open to players under 21 years old, and is used as a bridge for high school and club basketball. This league will provide motivation for school basketball players to continue improving, even as they transition as continuing student-athletes into the tertiary system, which is an important objective for YBG.
Six tertiary schools are participating in the inaugural tournament, namely: the University of Guyana, Government Technical Institute, Linden Technical Institute, New Amsterdam Technical Institute, Guyana School of Agriculture, and Port Mourant Training Centre.
Games are played on Sundays from 3 pm to 7 pm.
