Yello Media Group on Thursday celebrated its arrival to Guyana, as the multinational Caribbean entity officially launched three new services to the Guyanese market.
The event hosted at the Pegasus Hotel in Georgetown saw the launch of a brand
new mobile application, as well as an online search engine and a comprehensive printed directory.
These services are as a result of collaborative efforts between the Caribbean group and local companies to commence operations in Guyana. Their Guyanese partners include the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) and GuyEnterprise.
Delivering the feature address at the launch was the Chief Executive Officer of the Yello Media Group, Collin Francis, who was delighted in the establishment of their Guyanese arm. Francis relayed that, “With investments being made to improve the digital infrastructure and promote commerce, Guyana stands at the dawn of real opportunity and exponential growth.”
The CEO further pointed out that Yello has the potential to significantly influence
the local market by stating that, “We are focused on ensuring our products give your businesses the edge it needs to be efficient, to take advantage of that growth.”
Francis went on to say, “This is why we’ve hired and trained local resources, who can be advisors on solution, be it print, digital, mobile or online. This is why we have invested in platforms to help connect your businesses to wider economic platforms.”
Formerly known as Yellow Pages, the company has rebranded with a commitment to provide a wider reach through its new identity. Yello through their partnership with GTT provided citizens with access to a new stylish directory, which now includes a wider range of information and with easy to read fonts. Consumers can uplift their updated edition at any GTT branch across the country.
At the same time, the new findyello.com features a clean and modern homepage, universal search across all markets offered by the entity, various forms of payment for products and services, editorial content, business details and rating and reviews options as well as other contemporary features to improve lifestyle in the 21st Century.
The Yello Guyana app is now available on Play Store and can be downloaded free of cost.
The services were launched under the theme, “We know Guyana,” highlighting the company’s dedication towards offering customised services for citizens across Guyana.
