Young motorcyclist dies after crashing into wooden bridge, trench
An accident that occurred along the Meten-Meer-Zorg Public Road, West Coast Demerara, on Sunday at about 2:30h, has claimed the life of 32-year-old Mark Paul of Samaroo Dam, Pouderoyen, West Bank Demerara (WBD).

Based on reports received, the young man was proceeding along the Meten-Meer Zorg Public Road on his motorcycle, CL 8032, at a fast rate of speed when he reportedly lost control of the machine and it crashed into a wooden bridge before ending up in a trench.
Pulled from the trench in a semi-conscious state, and with injuries on his head and about his body, Paul was rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where he was treated; but, hours later, he succumbed to the injuries he sustained.
His body has been taken to the Ezekiel Funeral Home, while his motorcycle has been taken to the Leonora Police Station, where it will be examined by a licensing and certifying officer as investigations continue.
