The Port Mourant Cricket Club had a mixed weekend as they recorded a win in the Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Under-23 but suffered a defeat in the 40-overs second division tournament over the weekend.
In the second division quarter-final at Port Mourant, Young Warriors defeated the home team by seven wickets. Port Mourant opted to bat first and posted 134 all out in 28 overs. Balram Chapdell, 63, made a not out.
Bowling for the visitors, Mark Jackman claimed 4-32 in eight overs, while Jermain Henry had 4-36 in seven overs.
In reply, young warriors raced to 138-3 in 19.3 overs. Ricardo Ramdeholl led the way with an unbeaten 77 while Vishal Mahabir scored 36.
In the earlier fixture during this weekend, Port Mourant Under-23 secured a comprehensive 10-wicket win against Bush Lot United.
After winning the toss, Bush Lot United U23 elected to bat first and were bowled out for 136 runs in 30.2 overs. Akash Ramdewar and Saif Satar scored 33 each.

Gibran Yacoob was impressive with 4-27 in 10 overs. Doodnauth Seemangal had 3-24, while Salim Khan chipped in with two wickets.
Chasing 137 for victory, Port Mourant made light work of the target, racing to 137 without loss in just 20.2 overs.
Rampersaud Ramnauth led the way with a brilliant unbeaten 66, while Romeo Deonarine provided excellent support with an unbeaten 51.
