In observation of United Nations’ (UN) Day of Sports for the Development Of Peace, a number of cricketers, mainly from the county of Demerara, would participate in planned activities set to promote the interest of such peace in sports.
The session will be facilitated by the youth empowerment organisation ‘Xercise’, and will commence at 13:30h on Wednesday at the National Racquet Centre, Woolford Avenue.
Players identified for the session are Brandon Jaikaran, Sachin Singh, Garrick Persaud, Devon Allen, Yodister Persaud, Dwain Dick, Jerimiah Benjamin, Visual Persaud, Wayne Bollers, Ariel Tilku, Daniel Paul, Kenta Seepersaud, Ashesh Shivraj, Navindra Persaud, Ashmead Nedd, Joshua Persaud, Kirk Lovell, Alphius Bookie, Sachin Singh, Christopher Campbell, Jospice Jones, Omar Torrington, Nkosie Beaton, Colin Barlow, Premchan Ghamsham, Joshua Rogubeer, Mark Baptiste, Dequin Bamfield, Tevin Imlach, Keemo Paul and Shimron Hetmyer.
