When action in the West Demerara Cricket Association (WDCA) U-19 50 overs competition continued on Saturday November 26 at the Zeeburg ground the home team registered a close victory.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Met-en-Meerzorg U-19 were bowled out for 70 in 14 overs. Joshua Reddy top scored with 23 while the next best score of nine came from Deryck Foo. Zeeburg bowling was led by Ushardeva Balgobin with 2 for 9 and Andre Seepersaud 2 for 7.
In the run chase, the hosts stuttered but eventually got to 74 for 5 from 25 overs with Balgobin hitting 24 with support from Rajnesh Rampersaud who made 16.
Bowling for Met-en-Meerzorg U-19, Reyaz Khan took 3 for 33 while Reddy was also among the wickets with 2 for 20.
