Hundreds of members from various Seventh-day Adventist churches along the Essequibo Coast in Region Two on Saturday participated in a most auspicious activity to celebrate 130 years of Adventism in Guyana – a grand Gospel Motorcade and Rally that commenced at Supenaam and concluded in the evening at Charity.
During the motorcade and rally, floats were displayed to mark the 130 years of Adventist Heritage, more than 2500 books were distributed, and services were conducted in seven different locations along the coast.
At Supenaam, Peoples Progressive Party RDC Councillor Arnold Adams congratulated the organisation for taking such a bold initiative to mark this momentous anniversary, and various participants lauded the efforts of the Church in spreading their spiritualism and teaching persons about their culture.
