The University of Guyana, in collaboration with Giftland Inc, has unveiled the University of Guyana VIP card, which grants staff and students attached to the educational institution special discounts on purchases of clothing and shoes, as well as purchases at the Giftland Department Store, the Giftland Stationery Department, and the Giftland Documentation Centre.

Education Lecture Theatre (ELT), where Chairman of the Giftland Mall, Roy Beepat, expressed appreciation for the launching of this initiative and thanked University of Guyana Chancellor Ivelaw Griffith for his continued patronage of the shopping entity. The business mogul also declared that he is looking forward to being of service to the students and staff of the University.
