Themed, “Each Child Matters: Stakeholders Unite for the Enhancement of Education”, the event saw the achievements of the awardees being recognised.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo referred to the awardees as ‘Stars of the new generation’.
“When you look up to the sky, you see many stars but the brightest always stands out so you all should strive to be like that brightest star; stars of the new generation,” he encouraged.
He noted that the top students are to become exemplars; the ones that others would strive to be like.
“Today therefore is a day of celebration, a day of accomplishment, for those who have stood out for those that are being recognised today, you are the exemplars.”
