100 complete transportation, emergency response training

Some 100 persons are now trained in transportation and emergency response after their successful completion of the Professional Transportation, First Aid CPR, and Defensive Driving courses.
The graduates received their certificates on Thursday at the Officers’ Training Centre at Eve Leary, Georgetown.
The event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between the Guyana Police Force and Clarke’s Production Inc.
In his brief remarks, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Clarke’s Production Inc, Adrian Clarke, highlighted the vast opportunities within the transportation and logistics industry, urging them to maintain clear goals and strive for personal and professional success.
In addition, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Carlye Clarke provided a detailed course overview and reinforced the importance of the skills acquired.

Sergeant Fields, a serving Police Officer among the graduates, shared his personal experience and extended best wishes to his classmates, praising the programme’s practical and life-saving value.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the graduates, symbolising their readiness to apply defensive driving techniques, first aid, and CPR in real-world scenarios.
Inspector Ross expressed gratitude to the Clarke family, the training instructors, and the Police administration for their unwavering support. The training not only equipped participants with critical skills but also reinforced a shared commitment to safety, professionalism, and excellence on Guyana’s roads.
