The Government has advanced its efforts to support eligible persons who need assistance to register for the $100,000 cash grant.
Shut-ins, pensioners, persons living with disabilities and other beneficiaries can access assistance by visiting https://cashgrant.gov.gy/ and selecting the “Get Help” option.
Applicants will then be required to provide their first name, last name, telephone number and address. They must also select the type of assistance they require.
Available options include home assistance for persons living with disabilities, help with opening a bank account, assistance with applying for a Tax Identification Number (TIN), or support with registering for an electronic identification (eID) card.
Once all the required information is submitted, a representative will contact the applicant within a few days.
A DPI report stated that up to April 30, a total of 289,565 persons had received their $100,000 cash grants. Of that figure, 265,281 beneficiaries received their payments directly into their bank accounts.
