Regal Sports Softball Tournament gathers momentum heading into week three of the excitement with 12 high profile matches slated for Sunday.

At the Everest Cricket Club ground, Camp Road and Carifesta Avenue, the action will begin at 9:00h with three pitches being used concurrently. The tournament is divided into two categories, Masters and Open. The Masters, over 45

On Pitch One, Regal Masters open against Mike’s Wellman while Wolf Warriors battle Speedboat XI on pitch two at the same time. Also a spectacular Success XI is looking to stop an explosive Herstelling XI on Pitch three at the same time.

The second round of games will begin at 11:00h where Savage Masters play HS Masters on Pitch one, Superior Woods v Fisherman on Pitch two and Success square up against Ariel on Pitch three.

At 14:00h, the third round is expected to get underway with Savage Masters going up against Berbice’s power house, Albion Masters on Pitch one. Pitch two will see Superior Woods in action again when the face Wolf Masters and on Pitch three, Regal will go to war against Ariel and to close off the games at that venue, Wolf Warriors will look to walk away victorious when the play Herstelling on Pitch three at 15:00H.

The action does not stop there, as the matches then move over to the GNIC ground, Woolford Avenue where Tropical Springs XI go head on against Albion Masters from 10:00h. In the second and final match, Tropical Springs XI will want to end the day on a high while H.S. Masters will also want to take home a victory when the two powerhouses clash.

The tournament is an open tournament which does not attract an entrance fee however, the only cost to team are for the balls of their innings and a share of the umpires’ fees.

The Organizers of the tournament thought it best not to have an entrance fee for participating teams in an effort to attract more teams in the tournament rather than turning teams away.
