The materials include wood, tar, chain-link, paint, and cement. The investment costs $2.6 million.
Added to that, Minister Singh also committed to assisting the community to upgrade the sanitary block, level and compact the ground, and paint the pavilion.
The slasher, which costs $800,000, will be used to aid in the clearance and maintenance of the playground and will be made available for use by other grounds across the Essequibo Coast, while the building materials, which total $1,874,210, will be used for the construction of a chain-link perimeter fence measuring 300 metres around the playground.
Overall, this project will provide improved facilities for club members and youths across the Essequibo Coast.
