2 in custody for gunning down money changer, daughter

Two persons are now in Police custody for the gunning down of money changer, Aaron Latchman and his teenage daughter at their Better Hope, East Coast Demerara home on Thursday last.

Based on information received, the two men were arrested on Monday evening while the suspected getaway car was also found and impounded. An illegal firearm and matching ammunition were found in the car. The gun is expected to be sent for ballistic testing so as to determine, if the firearm was used to kill the two people.

Police are on the hunt for a third person whom the duo implicated in the heinous crime.

45-year-old Aaron Latchman, called “Star Boy”, and his 18-year-old daughter, Arriana Latchman, of Lot 58 Robert Street North, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD) were shot during the commissioning of a robbery on Thursday last.
