2 injured following 2-vehicle collision at Houston

A pillion rider and a motorcyclist are now patients at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) following a collision in the vicinity of Rahaman’s Park, Houston, Greater Georgetown, on Saturday evening.
The accident occurred at about 21:10h.
Based on reports received, the motorcycle bearing registration number CJ 4120 and a motor car with license plate PMM 4476 were proceeding in the same direction along the Houston Public Road when the car swerved into the path of the motorcycle which was negotiating a turn at the time.
As a result, the front of the motorcycle came into contact with the right-side portion of the car, thus causing the motorcyclist and pillion rider to fall onto the roadway. They sustained injuries and were picked up in a conscious state by emergency crews, and taken to Georgetown Hospital, where they were treated and admitted.
They are said to be in a stable condition. Meanwhile, the driver of the car was arrested and remains in Police custody assisting with the investigation.
