2 more charged, remanded over Christmas Day “barrel murder”

Thirty-three-year-old Edgar Lawson, also called “Baby”, a businessman from Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara (EBD), and Keiran Barrett, also referred to as “Bucko”, 50, a vendor from East La Penitence, Georgetown, were charged with the murder of Levi Williams, called “Vamperous”, whose body was found stuffed in a barrel at Le Repentir Cemetery.
Lawson and Barrett appeared before Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to them separately.
They were accused of murdering Williams between December 23 and December 25, 2025, at Charlotte Street, Georgetown. They were not required to plead and were remanded to prison until July 29, 2026.
Williams’ body was found in an advanced state of decomposition inside a barrel between Louisa Row and St Stephen Street in the Le Repentir Cemetery on Christmas Day, 2025.
Police stated that Williams was accused by a group of men of stealing a firearm. It was reported that Williams was confronted at a drug block in the Charlotte Street area, where he was severely beaten with wire.
Due to the beating, Williams became unconscious and was reportedly placed into a blue plastic bag.
Randy Mars, also known as “Ratty”, of Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/Linden Highway; Aaron Khan, also known as “Tattoo Man”, of Charlotte Street; and Jamal David, also known as “Hundred”, of West Ruimveldt, were all charged with the murder of Williams.
