Gun parts, ammo, military gear found among construction debris

The discovery of a quantity of ammunition, firearm components, and military gear on Tuesday at an unoccupied plot of land in the Lusignan New Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara (ECD), has led to the launch of a Police probe.
Police stated that ranks, acting on information received, went to the location where they unearthed the items among a heap of construction debris.
The items found included a quantity of 7.62 x 39 mm live rounds of ammunition, spent shells, 12-gauge cartridges, a tear gas canister, firearm components, and military gear.
The items were taken to the Vigilance Police Station as the investigation continues. At the time of the discovery, no arrests were made.
