The Guyana Police Force has issued wanted bulletins for two suspects in the murder of 78-year-old West Coast Berbice (WCB) businessman Tony Bisnauth, who was shot dead during a robbery at Rosignol, West Coast Berbice on Friday last.

Those wanted for questioning are: Medellin Orlando Evans, called “Mello”, 32, of Lot 61 Railway Line, Rosignol, WCB; and Carlos Evans, called “Beast”, 28, of Lot 12 Section ‘C’, D’ Edward Village, WCB.
Persons with information that may lead to the arrest of these two suspects are asked to contact the Police on 232-0291, 232-0313, 330-2222, 226-3650, 226-1326, 911, or at the nearest Police station.
All information will be treated with the strictest confidence.
On Friday last, businessman Tony Bisnauth, called ‘Uncle Tony’ and ‘England Man’, of Cotton Tree, WCB, was shot dead by bandits who stormed his birthday celebration at Stelling Road, Rosignol.

According to Police reports, Bisnauth’s reputed wife, Sunita Khani, operates a business — Sandra’s Snackette at Stelling Road — and on the night in question, the couple were hosting relatives and friends in front of the snackette to celebrate the businessman’s birthday when three masked males, two of whom were armed with handguns and the other with a chopper, pounced on them.
Khani told the Police that the bandits brandished their weapons and demanded valuables from those at the gathering. However, the guests refused to comply, and a scuffle ensued during which the suspects discharged several rounds, fatally injuring Bisnauth and wounding two others.
Those injured were 47-year-old Nateram Bridgelall, called ‘Bobby’, an electrician, and 25-year-old Mahendra Nagamootoo, called ‘Karan’, a carpenter, both of Stelling Road, Rosignol, WCB.

The suspects then relieved persons of their cash, jewellery and cellphones before making good their escape.
The victims were rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital, where the 78-year-old businessman was pronounced dead on arrival.
