24 teachers in Region 6 equipped with cricket knowledge
MoE/NSC coaching workshop…
The latest of the Ministry of Education/National Sports Commission (NSC) Cricket Coaching workshop occurred in Region 6 (East Berbice/Corentyne) and was facilitated by Latchman Yadram.
A total of 24 teachers from schools within the East Berbice/Corentyne region participated in the three-day programme, held at the Port Mourant Community Centre Ground.
Teachers were exposed to both theoretical and practical sessions, during which
Coach Latchman Yadramwith some of the participants at the coaching workshop
they were guided through the basics of batting, bowling, fielding, catching, wicket-keeping, sessions’ planning, running between the wickets, and ways of getting batsman out, among other importance aspects of the game.
Yadram urged the teachers to coach, organize, and manage sessions in a disciplined manner. Teachers welcomed the initiative and declared the course very informative.
