3 juveniles among 5 nabbed with gun, ammo

Three juveniles were among five persons arrested following the discovery of a gun and ammunition at Guyhoc Park, Georgetown, on Tuesday.
Police stated that on the day in question at about 11:00h, a party of policemen went to Guyhoc Park, Georgetown, where they met three juveniles and two adults. As such, a search was requested and conducted on a two-storey wooden and concrete structure where they reside.
During the search, the Police reportedly found a black bag on a chair, which, when opened, revealed one .32 revolver with its serial number filed off and four .32 live rounds of ammunition.
They were cautioned and arrested. In addition, as the search on the premises continued, six mobile phones and one electronic tablet were also found.
The five suspects denied ownership and as such were escorted to the East La Penitence Police Station where they are being further questioned.
The GPF has launched an investigation surrounding the circumstances of the unlawful possession of the articles found.
