The three persons who have died were all unvaccinated males, two of whom died on February 15 and the other on February 16. These were a 38-year-old of Region One (Barima-Waini), a 68-year-old of Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica), and a 75-year-old of Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne). These three deaths have now taken the total deaths in Guyana to 1202, with 30 so far for the month of February.![](https://guyanatimesgy.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/DASH-253x300.jpg)
Additionally, the Health Ministry reported that there were 105 new cases recorded from a total of 1,828 tests done in the past 24 hours.
These cases were as follows: six in Region One (Barima-Waini); 18 in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam); nine in Region Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara); 42 in Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica); two in Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice); 10 in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) and 18 in Region Nine (Upper Takutu–Upper Essequibo). No recent death has been reported in Regions Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni), Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) and 10 (Upper Demerara-Upper Berbice).
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry also reported that there are eight persons in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
