Twenty-three-year-old Keyola Daniels of Meadow Brook Squatting Area, Georgetown, was arrested on Wednesday following the discovery of a quantity of narcotics at her home.
The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) stated that on the day in question, its ranks, acting on information received, conducted an operation at a residence located in the Meadow Brook Squatting Area, Georgetown.

During the operation, several transparent Ziplock bags and a parcel containing a quantity of cannabis, rock-like substances suspected to be MDMA (ecstasy), and two 5-gallon buckets containing a cannabis-infused liquid substance were discovered. The woman was arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters along with the narcotics, which, when weighed, amounted to 63.3 grams of cannabis, 1.82 grams of ecstasy, and 39.6 kilograms (kg) of cannabis-infused liquid.

Meanwhile, Daniels appeared before Magistrate Orinthia Schmidt at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where she pleaded not guilty to the charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Bail was refused, and she was remanded to prison until May 8, 2026.
