Four people died on Friday night following a collision involving a passenger car and a fuel truck at Long Creek along the Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
Preliminary reports indicate that the car crashed into the rear of the fuel truck, leaving four occupants dead and three others in critical condition.
Initial information suggests that the passenger car may have been travelling at a high rate of speed before the collision. However, the exact circumstances surrounding the crash have not yet been confirmed.
Firefighters and emergency responders were called to the scene, where the severity of the damage required firefighters to cut open the vehicle to reach those trapped inside.
Details surrounding the identities of the deceased and injured, as well as the full circumstances leading up to the collision, were not immediately available.
