Four persons have been left homeless following a fire that destroyed a house at Lot 795 Zeelugt North, East Bank Essequibo (EBE). The Guyana Fire Service (GFS) on Monday said that responded to reports of the blaze and, upon arrival, found the building engulfed in flames.
Firefighters immediately began operations to bring the fire under control. Despite their efforts, the building was completely destroyed. A nearby building also sustained minor damage. The GFS has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
