Forty persons from several organisations benefited from a three-day training programme organised and executed by the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG) in collaboration with the US Embassy to Guyana Military Information Support Team at the Muslim Youth Organisation (MYO) located on Woolford Avenue.
Over the three days, the class was taught by Dontre King (Team member of the Military Information Support Team), the various aspects of photography and how to use and apply such aspects in business advertisements, social media, and general daily life.
The class also received training in first aid by Dr Anish Bhagwandeen (Anaesthesia/ICU/BLS Instructor) of the American Heart Association.
A total of forty persons participated in the training and received a certificate in both Photography and First Aid at the end of the training period.
The Mayor and City Council Georgetown, Guyana Cancer Foundation, Guyana Cancer Society, Guyana Medical Relief, SEWA International, Dauntless Professional Therapeutic Bodyworks, Meten-Meer-Zorg Islamic Academy, Al-Ghazali Islamic Academy, along with CIOG Education, and Dawah workers and various medical personnel and small businesses took part in the training that was held from May 18 to May 20.
“CIOG and its collaborating partners remain committed to building and strengthening partnerships for a stronger and brighter Guyana and wish to express thanks to all the participants for their support and cooperation in making the training infinitive a successful one,” the charitable organisation said in a released statement.
