5 teams advance to finals

BCB/Lewison General Store Under-15 Tournament…

The Berbice Cricket Board- organised Lewison General Store Under-15 Tournament continued last week with the following five teams advancing to the finals: Albion and Port Mourant teams from Zone C; RH Canje and Tucber Park teams from Zone B, and Blairmont from Zone A.

The Paradise and Bush Lot teams will square off on Saturday at Paradise to decide the other team that would advance from Zone A.
The third and fourth rounds of matches featured numerous outstanding performances with both bat and ball.
West Indies Under 15 player Rampertab Ramnauth stroked two majestic centuries: 179 not out and a record 265; while centuries were also registered by Rashaad Gafoor, Romeo Deonarain and Tulsieram Ramcharran.
Christopher Olge, Salim Khan, Kumar Deopersaud, Sajaad Ishmael, Joash Sampson and Avishkar Persaud have each taken a five-wicket haul.

Port Mourant on a rampage
Port Mourant demolished Rose Hall Town by 224 runs at the Area ‘H’ Ground. PMCC scored 295 for 2 from 40 overs, with Rampertab Ramnauth scoring 179 not out, and Romesh Bharatt scoring 47.
Rose Hall Town scored 71 all out in 26.3 overs, with Steven Reddi making 21 and Matthew Pottaya 16. Jaikishun Latchman took 3 for 12.
Port Mourant destroyed #73 by 447 runs at the Jai Hind Ground. PMCC scored 448 for 2 from 50 overs, with Rampertab Ramnauth recording 265 and Romesh Bharatt 86. Extras contributed 66.
Number 73 could muster only 47 all out. Salim Khan took 5 for 25, Romel Budwah took 3 for 10, and Jaikishun Latchman took 2 for 11.
Albion defeated Rose Hall Town by 10 runs at the Area H Ground. Albion scored 81 all out, with Kumar Deopersaud contributing 21, Damion Cecil 13, and Afraz Ramphal 12.
Matthew Pottaya took 4 for 7 in 10 overs, Khemraj Tika took 2 for 14, and Steven Reddi 2 for 17.
RHT registered 70 all out from 26.5 overs, with Raphael Fraser contributing 13. Kumar Deopersaud took 5 for 17 and Afraz Budhoo took 2 for 21.

Blairmont triumphant
Blairmont beat Bush Lot United by 261 runs at Blairmont. Blairmont posted 348 for one from 43 overs, with Romeo Deonarain contributing 156 not out, while Rashaad Gafoor recorded 110.
Bush Lot United could muster only 88 all out, with Kenny Budhoo making 33, and A. Parmanand 21. Sajaad Ishmael incredibly took 5 wickets for 6 runs, and Romeo Deonarain took 3 for 18.
Tucber Park recorded a 24- run win over Edinburgh at Edinburgh. Tucber Park made 142 all out, with Delon Endore scoring 37, Dravid Paladin 16, and C. Arokium 10. Troy Dover took 3 for 20 and Keyron George took 3 for 17.
Edinburgh were all out for 118 runs, with Jonathan Edwards scoring 37 and David Fraser 35. Delon Endore took 4 for 24.

RHC in breezing season
Rose Hall Canje breezed past East Bank Blazers by 159 runs at Canje. RH Canje recorded 225 all out in 37.3 overs, of which Avishkar Persaud contributed 83, Romario Ramdehol 34, and Sanjay Algoo 19. Joash Sampson took 5 for 42.
East Bank Blazers could muster only 66 all out in 16.4 overs. Shamar Semple made 16, and Deosarran Sookram 14. A. Persaud incredibly took 5 wickets for 6 runs, and Romario Ramdehol took 4 for 24.
RH Canje breezed past Edinburgh by ten wickets at the Young Warriors Ground in East Canje. Edinburgh scored 149 for 7 from 40 overs, with L. Fraser making 32 and Darren George 28. Zadeem La Rose took 2 for 23.
RH Canje scored 150 in 26 overs, with Avishkar Persaud making 55 not out, and Zadeem La Rose 58 not out.
Achievers savaged Bush Lot United by 262 runs. Achievers recorded 292 for 4 from 40 overs, with Tulsieram Ramcharran contributing 104 not out, Toussaint Consielly 55, and Javon Duncan 34.
Bush Lot United could muster only 30 all out, as Christopher Ogle tormented them with 5 wickets for 8 runs.

Paradise in ‘Paradise’
Paradise defeated Achievers by five wickets. Achievers recorded 97 all out in 20 overs, with P. Mc Donald harvesting 3 wickets for 14 runs, and R. Wilson taking 2 wickets for 08 runs.
Paradise replied with 98 for 5 from 13 overs, with O. Fordyce recording 28 and R. Mc Donald 17. T. Connelly took 3 for 25.
