8 drivers fined for traffic violations

Several drivers were fined in relation to traffic offences on Wednesday when they appeared before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrates’ Courts.
Quincy Stephen was slapped with a $10,000 fine for failure to wear a seatbelt with a default sentence of 10 days’ imprisonment.
The other drivers included Keith Warden, who was fined $7500 for the same offence, and Isaaiah Brummel, who was fined $20,000 for being an unlicensed driver, $25,000 for breach of insurance and $7500 for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Meanwhile, Lamaizon Wilson was fined $20,000 for failure to conform to a traffic sign with a default sentence of one month in prison while Glaudston Dey was fined $20,000 with a default sentence of one month in prison for breach of insurance.
Additionally, Julius Alexander was fined $7500 with a default sentence of 10 days in prison for failure to wear a seatbelt.
Kenrick Glasgow was fined $7500 with a default sentence of a month in prison for driving an uninsured motor vehicle while Hakeem Aaron was fined a total of $27,500 with a default sentence of three weeks in prison for the offences of failure to wear a seatbelt and obscured vehicular identification.
