8-year-old Linden boy found dead

Police in Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) are probing an incident whereby an eight-year-old boy of South Amelia’s Ward, Linden was discovered dead outside his home on Tuesday.
According to Police, the child was at home with his parents and siblings and about 13:30h they went for a nap, leaving him in his room. However, about 17:30h, checks were made to the child’s room by his mother ,but he was not seen. Further checks were conducted in the yard and he was found near an animal pen with a jersey near his body. He was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The body is presently at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting a post-mortem examination as investigations continue. (G13)
