9 finalists closer to Miss Jamzone 2023 title

Nine delegates vying for the Miss Jamzone title were unveiled on Sunday evening, thus bringing them closer to the grand finale slated for August 2023.
After one week of online voting, nine of the 17 delegates vying for the coveted title of Miss Jamzone 2023 were revealed during the Soca and Wine event at the Guyana Marriott parking lot.
The delegates were selected after an online voting process that commenced on Monday, May 15, and end on Wednesday, May 24. The public had a chance to vote for their favourite delegate by ‘liking’ their photos, which were uploaded on the missjamzonepageant page on Instagram! The delegates with the highest scores have advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.
In addition, points accumulated from the votes amassed on social media, combined with their points for the catwalk, stage performance, stance, and smile, cemented their places in the semi-finals of the competition.
The nine delegates moving on are: Aliya Wong, Ashanti Corlette, Carolann Correia, Judell Price, Laquana Johnson, Rayshana Gillis, Shequana Holder, Tiseena Harry and Trevlind Harry.
Aliya Wong, Clendolita Lashley and Judell Price have ranked top three in the social media buzz.
The pageant is slated for staging in August at Spashmin’s – its original venue – and the winner will drive away with a brand-new vehicle, besides having bragging rights for one year.
