As a lengthy trial concluded at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, Magistrate Judy Latchman on Monday found a Bagotville, West Bank Demerara (WBD) resident guilty of the $8.9 million heist at the Ramada Princess Casino.
Wayne Griffith was charged, along with Andre Blackman and Junior Stewart, for the April 29, 2016 robbery. On Monday, while Griffith was found guilty, Blackman was freed after he was found not culpable for the offence. Stewart was recently freed after it was found that there was no evidence against him.
The charge stated that on April 29, 2016 at Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD) while being in the company of others, and armed with guns, Griffith robbed Daniel Roberts and Alfea Gajadhar of $8.9 million, property of Ramada Princess
