Jaguars are inches away; on the verge of winning their fifth consecutive Regional 4-Day championship. The defending champions, Jaguars, will play the Jamaica Scorpions in the return fixture in the eighth round today, from 10:00h local time, at the Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica.
Jaguars had defeated the same Scorpions team by seven wickets at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, in the seventh round clash. The familiar method of not changing a winning combination has been portrayed by the Guyana Jaguars when the same 13-man squad from the last match winged out to play Jamaica.

With the Sabina Park pitch different from Providence, an extra fast bowler may attain selection. The likes of Clinton Pestano and Keon Joseph who were excluded from the seventh round clash at Providence, may prove to be x-factor bowlers given the condition of the pitch.
Scorpions showed signs of playing competitive cricket; this season they took first innings points form Jaguars at Providence but lost the match outright. The Robert Haynes-coached team will be eying home advantage to halt Jaguars’ winning momentum.
