The West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) Stag Senior League continued over the weekend at the Den Amstel Ground, with several teams recording thumping victories.
In what can be considered an onslaught, Uitvlugt hammered Jetty Gunners 10-0, with Leron Jacobs recording a splendid helmet-trick. Jacobs’s strikes came in the 10th, 19th, 38th and 60th. The Duke brothers combined, added three more goals to their tally, as Keon netted in the 12th and 46th while Kevin converted in the 14th. Scottie Leitch, Carlisle Correll and Daniel Floyd added the final touches with goals in the 50th, 61st and 71st respectively.
Another goal fest occurred in the Beavers clash against Pouderoyen which ended 8-1 in favour of the latter. Dwayne St. Kitts led the assault, recording a hat-trick with goals in the 30th, 71st and 73rd. St. Kitts received support from the in-form Quessey Alleyne in the 12th and 18th while Esan Nelson also helped himself to a double, netting in the 10th and 57th; Morgan Denny was the other scorer in the 59th. Lenroy Semple was the lone marksman for Beavers.
