Another in-house golf tournament was hosted on Saturday by the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC), and a total of 20 persons braved the inclement weather to compete in that highly-anticipated tournament. At the end of play, Miguel Ovideo had stormed to the title, while the in-form Patrick Prashad settled for second place and LGC President Patanjilee Persaud bagged third place.

The results of that day’s activities were as follows:
* 1st: Miguel Ovideo; Gross 89, Hc 18, Net 71.
* 2nd: Patrick Prashad; Gross 82, Hc 10, Net 72.
* 3rd: Patanjilee Persaud; Gross 86, Hc 12, Net 74.
* Best Gross: Tom Watkins; Gross 81.
* Longest Drive: Shanella London.

After the tournament, LGC Vice President Paton George disclosed that a total of 30 players had registered, but 10 dropped out because of the inclement weather “having its way”. George also said, “It rained periodically throughout the tournament, but that makes for an interesting round of golf. The conditions were soggy, and the ball wouldn’t go anywhere; you have to adjust to the conditions and play a strategic game, accept some higher scores, knowing that it’s the field that is going to be affected, and not just play. So, you keep within your game and plod along.”
